Obama Admin Closes Title IX Loophole

The U.S. Department of Education is repealing a Bush-era policy that some critics argue was a way to avoid complying with federal law in providing equal opportunities for female athletes.

Sounds like a good move to me. There's no denying the impact of Title IX on gender equality in sport. Now, will this revision allow Maya Moore and the NCAA's de facto Godfather, Geno Auriemma, to further consolidate their dominance over Women's NCAA B-Ball? Only time will tell.
